6063 Aluminum Alloy Scrap
- Form: Scrap can be in the form of loose profiles or compressed into bales for easier transport.
- Purity: Higher grades have a minimum aluminium content of 97–99%.
- Contaminant limits: Maximum contamination levels are negotiated between buyer and seller, but a general limit of less than 2% non-aluminium impurities is common for higher grades.
- Moisture content: Moisture should be minimized to prevent corrosion and oxidation.
- Radiation test: Must be negative for radiation.
