LDPE film scrap
- Grade 98/2: This high-quality, post-industrial or post-commercial scrap consists of 98% clean LDPE film with a maximum of 2% non-LDPE material, such as minor residues, dust, or labels.
- Grade 95/5: A slightly lower grade, allowing up to 5% contamination or non-LDPE content.
- Grade 90/10: A mixed-film grade with a higher tolerance for colored film or other impurities.
- Grade A: General designation for high-quality, clean, post-industrial LDPE film scrap, often specified as 99/1 or 98/2 clean
Grade A (98/2 or 95/5)
- Source: Predominantly post-industrial or post-commercial (for example, pallet shrink wrap from warehouses).
- Color: At least 95% clear or natural. A small percentage of light-colored or lightly printed film is acceptable.
- Contamination: Total contamination typically should not exceed 5% by weight. This includes labels, tape, and dirt.
Non-LDPE film contamination, like HDPE, is usually limited to 1%. - Moisture: Generally requires low moisture content, typically under 2%
. - Value: This is a high-value, premium grade suitable for high-quality recycling applications.
